Consumers become a Judge through SNS.

SNS (Social Network Service)

I think SNS is the most easiest and cheapest way for companies to get interests from Generation Y.
Marketers have paid attention to this and looked for the most efficient and effective way to use SNS !
Now, almost trendy brands and famous companies have their Facebook pages and Twitter accounts and continuously converse with their stakeholders.

Why is SNS becoming important in Marketing?

Thesedays, consumers want to express their feeling and perception on brands about whether they like it or not. They have learned how to praise or punish the company. It was impossible to fight with giant company by alone. However, Web 2.0 leads this happening. It makes people put heads together to get their rights agains the company possible using SNS. Of cours, SNS is not used only for complaining !
If consumers are satisfied and becomes fan of the brand, they would like to be supporters of the brand also using SNS either.
Thus, clever brand puts efforts to convey an impression to consumers in order to make them work for their brands.

Following campaign is done by Heineken in October 2009.


Heineken was really brilliant in making consumers become fans of them. From this campaign, people are eager to be friends of Heineken on facebook and becomes beloved brand on Web 2.0.

In my view, it is important for companies to take preemptive action in order to be beloved brand on Social Network.

QR code in e-Marketing !


QR CODE

Recently you may see that there are irregular shaped marks in square box on the product packages or AD boards. 
This is called 'QR code'. QR stands for ‘Quick Response’. This function may be similar with barcode, but it is more than that.



QR code is advanced in terms of informative function and usability.

These features are the reasons why recently QR code is accepted by corporate world as an important tool for Marketing.
 Smartphone users can scan the QR code to see text, contact information, connect to a network, or open a web page in the telephone's browser.

Few days ago, I found a brilliant example of using QR code.

 Cheil Worldwide of Korea wins Cannes Media Grand Prix with QR Codes. This outdoor campaign enables for actual shopping, developing it into a unique combined on/offline campaign. Maria louisa, the president of the Media Lions jury, said it was really an appealing idea that allowed multiple aspects of digital to meet and created a new product that can conveniently permeate into the lives of consumers.

How QR Code can be smartly used for any other marketing practice? ANY IDEA?
